Athletics
Athletics at Haywood Christian Academy are an integral part of the school’s total educational program and stems directly from the school’s mission, vision, core values and philosophy of education.The purpose of the athletic program, regardless of age level, is to develop endurance, strength, coordination, self-confidence, and teamwork as well as to develop recreational habits that will be of value in later life. Athletics also provide opportunities to respond in times of adversity with Christian character. HCA is a member of the Western Piedmont Athletic Conference.
Fine Arts
Haywood Christian Academy's Fine Arts proclaim God to be the source of beauty, truth and inspiration in creative production. The aesthetic response embraces and celebrates the spiritual connection to emotion and the divinity of beauty. Our goal is to cultivate a depth of experience that awakens a fulfilling awareness of God, not only in His beauty that surrounds us, but also His beauty within us, as creativity is such an integral part of being made in His image. Thus, the enrichment of the arts experience fosters a completeness where worship naturally follows beauty and greater understanding of self develops.
