Our Comprehensive Educational Programs

Haywood Christian Academy offers a complete educational journey for students at every stage of development:

Kinder Prep Program (Ages 4-5)

Our early learning program provides young children with a nurturing introduction to structured education. Using a hands-on, multi-sensory approach, our experienced educators prepare children for kindergarten success while nurturing their spiritual development in age-appropriate ways. Small class sizes ensure individualized attention during these formative years.

Elementary School (K-5th Grade)

The elementary program at HCA creates a strong academic foundation while nurturing a love for learning. Our curriculum includes core subjects (language arts, mathematics, science, social studies) integrated with biblical principles. Students benefit from specialized instruction in art, music, physical education, and technology, creating a well-rounded educational experience.

Middle School (6th-8th Grade)

During the critical middle school years, students experience a carefully designed program that addresses their unique developmental needs. Our curriculum becomes more challenging, preparing students for high school while providing necessary support. Middle schoolers engage in blended learning opportunities, utilizing technology for research and presentation skills while developing independence and responsibility.

High School (9th-12th Grade)

Our college-preparatory high school program prepares students for future success through rigorous academics and character development. The curriculum includes honors courses and specialized electives that allow students to explore their interests and talents. Through our dual enrollment partnership with Haywood Community College, juniors and seniors can earn college credits while still in high school, giving them a head start on their higher education journey.

HCAplus: Expanding Educational Horizons

This innovative program enhances our high school offerings by providing expanded elective options through our affiliation with Liberty University Online Academy and dual enrollment opportunities with Haywood Community College. HCAplus enables students to gain college-level experience and explore specialized subjects while maintaining the supportive environment of our Haywood County private school.

Beyond Academics: Developing the Whole Child

Haywood Christian Academy believes in nurturing every aspect of a student's development:

Athletic Programs

Our competitive sports programs include volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading. Through athletics, students learn teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Our state-of-the-art gymnasium, completed in 2021, provides an excellent facility for both practice and competition.

Fine Arts

Students discover and develop their creative talents through our comprehensive fine arts program, which includes visual arts, music, and drama. Annual productions, concerts, and art exhibitions showcase student accomplishments while building confidence and self-expression.

Community Service

Service learning is integral to our educational approach. Throughout the year, students participate in outreach projects that benefit the local community and beyond. These experiences foster compassion, responsibility, and a lifelong commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Spiritual Formation

At the core of our Haywood County private education model is spiritual formation. Daily Bible classes, weekly chapel services, and biblical integration across all subjects help students develop a strong Christian worldview and personal faith. We follow Luke 2:52 as our model: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."

The HCA Difference: Portrait of a Graduate

When students complete their educational journey at Haywood Christian Academy, they emerge with far more than academic knowledge. Our "Portrait of a Graduate" framework cultivates:

  1. Spiritual Formation: Students who serve with a heart for God
  2. Academic Excellence: Learners with a mind for truth
  3. Worldview Orientation: Leaders with a passion for the world

This holistic approach prepares graduates not just for college and career success, but for lives of purpose, service, and faith.

Specialized Support: Meeting Every Student's Needs

1. The Bridge Learning Center

Recognizing that students learn differently, we established The Bridge Learning Center in 2015. This unique program provides specialized support for students with language-based learning differences, utilizing the proven Orton-Gillingham approach. The Bridge has expanded to offer academic tutoring and support in most subject areas, ensuring that every student can succeed regardless of learning challenges.

2. College and Career Guidance

Our dedicated college counseling program helps high school students navigate the college application process, explore career options, and prepare for their next steps after graduation. From ACT/SAT preparation to scholarship applications and college visits, we provide comprehensive support for this important transition.

Affordable Excellence: Financial Accessibility

We believe that Haywood County private education should be accessible to families from all economic backgrounds.
